Partnership

Who is on the Partnership?

Anyone, includng individuals, businesses or anyone who represents an organisation can be on the Environmental Partnership if they agree with our aims and objectives.

In order to be on the Steering Group a member bust be elected from one of three sectors:

  • public
  • business and social
  • voluntary and community

These members will be elected in the Partnership's AGM.

From the public sector we have representatives from Gwynedd Council, Countryside Council for Wales, University of Wales Bangor, National Park Authority, Environment Agency, and the Assembly Government's Enterprise, Innovation and Networks Department (previously WDA).

From the business sector we have representatives from the Farmers Union Wales, individuals from local businesses, Snowdonia Active and Medrwn and some local traders associations.

The voluntary and community sector is well represented with individuals from Antur Waunfawr, the Snowdonia Society, Communities First, Sustainable Gwynedd Gynaladwy and CPRW.

A member of the Steering Group must try to attend all meetings.

The Steering Group's role is to prioritise the Partnership's work programme. The Partnership will offer matters to be discussed, and the Group will decide which way to go about implementing the work.
